1970's Meyer 6M "Made In USA" Alto Sax Mouthpiece with Paul Desmond Facing

Offered is a Meyer 6 Medium Chamber Alto Sax Mouthpiece. It was purchased in 1973 (by me) and was refaced by mouthpiece legend Claude Humber to Paul Desmond's facing measurements. The mouthpiece was played, but is in nice condition - no chips or scratches.  Some small ligature marks.  No teethmarks, as a pad was used. Stamped on the mouthpiece are "Meyer", "Medium Chamber""Made In USA". Included is the original box.
1971 MEYER ‘MADE IN USA’ MODEL
This hard rubber mouthpiece was made at the Babbitt factory in the early 1970s. It has a flatter inner side wall, forming an almost triangular chamber.  While it is different from the vintage Meyers, it was made with the same general concept, and is still considered to be the standard of the alto mouthpiece industry.
This mouthpiece duplicates the beautiful tone Paul Desmond achieved on his recordings with the Dave Brubeck Quartet.  You might not be able to play like him, but this mouthpiece will allow you to sound like Desmond.  GOOD LUCK!
