ANT FRENCH CHANTILLY LACE FAN W/ MOP ORIGINAL BOX LABELED ROYAL LACE FACTORY

Description

Beautiful black Chantilly Lace hand fan with Mother of Pearl guards and sticks.  The lace is a beautiful delicate floral pattern.  Some of the mother of pearl fingers have cracked or broken (shown).   All of the bottom of the fingers are there but some of the upper parts are cracked or missing.  Someone has tried to repair the fan in the past and some of the fingers have been inappropriately put back on and 1 of the sticks has not been put back on.  The finger above it  was incorrectly place and it needs some TLC to correct it.  There is a great tassel on the handle.  The fan is in its' original box with gold lettering labeling on the top.  The translation came up as "Royal Lace Factory, My Bovat Debeck, Spelmans Boval Sr., 96 Rue Royale Brussels."  The top of the box has damage on one side.  There was a newspaper article with the fan that I have included.  It references a museum fan exhibit.  I do not know if this fan was part of the exhibit or not.  Beautiful fan.
Measures 15" long and 26" wide.
