his listing is for a customized alto saxophone mouthpiece. It is just a plain unmarked plastic student level mouthpiece, but it has has an epoxy baffle installed to brighten up the sound. I have no idea who did the work, but it appears well done. There isn't a ton of extra material added, but what's there is pretty close to the tip, so it gives a lot of added projection, and makes it significantly brighter. I would consider this to be a 'jazz' mouthpiece.
This mouthpiece is in very good condition. The facing is perfectly smooth. There is no tooth wear on the beak. The exterior does show a lot of scratching/scuffing, but this is just cosmetic in nature. The mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to play.
This would be a great entry level jazz mouthpiece for a young player. Most kids just play their regular mouthpiece when they join jazz band around middle school age. This piece is priced right for a young player on a budget.
