Fancy Woven Feathers Fan - Faux Tortoiseshell Center Western Pacific 1940 -1950

Description

Mid-century from the Western Pacific islands.
It measures 15" long
Appears to be Hand Woven but not sure .
It looks pretty good from both sides (see photos)
I also took a couple of photos of the center part with the Sun coming through a window so please

This was bought many years ago (at least 30) at a Chicago estate sale
It is in very good condition and the feathers are a bit ruffled but seem to be all there (I think they are anyway) -
I have no idea what kind of a bird the feathers are from
