Description

Up for sale is a Fred Rast Tenor Sax Metal Mouthpiece - Contemporary 7* .105  Very lightly used, tip, table, and rails are in really good condition, features a sliding ligature similar to a Lawton.  I really don't want to sell this, but I need to thin my stock!
Here's Fred's description -
The Contemporary model has a brighter sound.  It has a similarly large chamber, and a very big bottom with a bit more edge and presence in tone.  The baffle is less sloping and a bit higher than the Traditional Model.
A little more info - Don't let the "Contemporary" name fool you, it plays extremely full and even, not necessarily bright, but it can be when pushed. Sounds a lot like a good Link to my ears, but with an added "bounce" type of slight resistance typical to a hard rubber piece, really unique. The thin tip and rails add to a quick response, and the sloping floor adds the "guts" IMHO. This is a really great all around tenor mpc, grab it while you can!
