GRABNER K13-star KASPER-STYLE B-flat CLARINET MOUTHPIECE - GREAT CONDITION

Up for auction is a Walter Grabner K13-star B-flat clarinet mouthpiece in great (almost new condition). This model is made from a hard rubber Zinner blank and is based upon the classic Frank Kasper mouthpieces. Since Zinner went out of business Grabner is making his own 3D printed mouthpieces. However, he is no longer (or, at least, not yet) making his Kasper-inspired mouthpieces. In other words this mouthpiece will soon become a collector’s item due its Zinner blank and Kasper-like facing. It has a nice dark tone and works well with strength 3.5 Vandoren V12 or 3.5 D’Addario Classic Reserve reeds. It also works great with Legere reeds from strengths 3 through 3.5. When using V12 reeds I found that I have to thin out the tip slightly. After I did that, that setup worked incredibly well. The table and rails are in perfect condition and there are no teeth grooves on the beak. There is only a very slight tooth mark on the beak. You have to look very hard to see this mark but I wanted to mention it in order to be completely honest. The only other way that you could see that this is not a brand new mouthpiece is the fact that there are scratches on the back of the mouthpiece from the prongs of a Silverstein ligature. These scratches, of course, do not affect the playability and tone of the mouthpiece and I hope that they can be seen in the photos. FREE SHIPPING by Priority Mail!
