his listing is for a rare vintage H. Selmer (Paris) mouthpiece for Bb soprano clarinet. This is an example of one of the earliest Selmer mouthpieces. It has one ring up, and one down, with the Selmer logo below the lower. This version is referred to as a 'bottom logo'.
This mouthpiece has an odd modification done to it. The shank has been shortened. It was cut off approximately at the bottom of the cork. I have no idea why this would have been done. Other than that, it
is in good used
condition. There are a couple very tiny nicks on the side rails, but for the most part the facing is smooth. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. The cork is quite worn, so it will need to be replaced.
