Standard tip openings available: 7 (0.100"), 7* (0.105"), 8 (0.110"), 8* (0.115") - tip openings smaller than 7 or larger than 8* can be ordered, but are special order items and will require a slightly longer handling time - usually 5-8 work days.
The VINTAGE SLANT is modeled after the famous 1950’s classic tenor sound and features a medium-large chamber with beautifully sculpted concave side-walls, with a medium height ‘New York’ style roll-over baffle.
If you are looking for a true and transparent traditional tenor sound, with characteristics reflecting your natural voice on the saxophone, this is the mouthpiece for you. You will find that the Vintage Slant offers clarity of tone with a warm and overtone-rich core sound. It
offers very good power and projection with fast articulation.
Material: VibraDust HR™ utilizes the finest German hard rubber and was developed by Johannes Gerber to have acoustical characteristics found in the hard rubber mouthpieces of the 1950’s.
Your Vintage Slant is hand finished to exacting specifications with tolerances rarely found in the mouthpiece industry today.

    Testimonials
    "Dear Johannes,
When I placing my order for your Vintage Slant, I was seeking for a backup for my 'No USA' Otto Link slant (which had been opened from a 5* to a 7*). I did not think that a modern rendition of the Slant HR piece would be able to match my primary piece, as I've tried quite a few others.
But to my surprize, I feel that sonically, your Vintage Slant is fully the equal of my Slant, and in many ways plays better - the articulation is quicker, and it is a bit easier to mold my sound with your piece than with my Otto Link Slant.
I LOVE it! I suspect my 'No USA' Slant is heading towards the backup.
Thank you again, Best, Raghav. USA"

    "Hi Mr. Gerber!
I received my Vintage Slant. I've been playing on a Otto Link Slant for more than 25 years and I know what I'm talking about. If I would work for your company as a promotion or marketing guy, I would write: 'The only way to go wrong with a Johannes Gerber Vintage Slant is - to not play it!'
Your work is incredible! When playing your model, I discovered that with a middle range of output, it sounds and plays just like my Otto Link Slant. Everything you do is the 'crest of the Slant'.
Thank you very much! Karl Seider. Germany"
