his listing is for a vintage Meyer "New York, USA" alto saxophone mouthpiece. It is an early NY, USA version, which features the same scooped inner side walls as the "NY Meyer Bros." pieces from the 1950's, but with a thinner body, giving it a brighter tone. This is the quintessential mouthpiece for bebop and big band (lead alto) players. Phil Woods, and countless other pro players used this model.
Unfortunately this one has sustained major damage. The entire tip is broke off and missing. I'm not sure if there is any feasible way to fix this or not, but if there is any mouthpiece that is worth giving it a try on, it would be a vintage Meyer. Obviously the piece does not play in its current state, and is being sold as is with no guarantees. If nothing else, it would be a great project for the aspiring mouthpiece refacer/repairer to see if they can make it play again!
