    his listing is for a Meyer tenor saxophone mouthpiece that has been 'customized' by Dave Jary. Dave was a mouthpiece refacer who made a minor splash on the scene several years ago, then completely vanished off the face of the earth. This "Jary Custom" is made from a relatively
    new Meyer. It is most likely from the 1990's or early 2000's. It is marked "Made in USA" on the top of the shank. The bottom of the shank is marked "MEDIUM CHAMBER", and I don't believe that this aspect of the piece was altered.
    I'll be honest, the refacing job on this mouthpiece is not so good. The rails are really wonky as they approach the tip. I don't know any other way to describe it, but you can see what I'm talking about in the pictures. It plays OK, but not great, in my opinion. I didn't really spend much time trying to dial it in with the right reed, so maybe your results will be better. Personally I think this piece needs to be re-refaced though. If you buy it, please do so with that in mind, and consider it a bonus if you end up deeming it not necessary.
    This mouthpiece is in good general condition. There are no nicks, chips, etc. to the facing. There are no tooth indentations on the bite plate. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
