    Description

    New England Affiliated Technologies (NEAT) X-Y stage in very good condition. Both axes move a full 10"; this is 50 pounds of quality instrument, perfect for those giant specimens under the stereoscope! Axes move freely and smoothly to their extents. Motors are tested and known working. Unable to test the encoders, but given the overall very good condition, they are expected to be functional. The two-start lead screws have a 0.2" (5.08 mm) pitch.
    Stage was tested with a 3-D printer controller; I don't have the original controller. There are a number of Arduino-based stepper CNC and 3-D printer controllers that could be used to control this stage, including feedback from the encoders.
