Old Hand Fan, Mother-of-Pearl Struts W. Bobbin & Pointe De Gaze Lace

Hello all,
For your consideration an old lace fan featuring beautiful mother of pearl struts and mixed lace, bobbin and Pointe de gaze needle lace. I am no expert on hand fans, although I do study lace, still no expert. This fan came from my mother's estate. I rescued it from a horrible " shadow box ( of sorts) frame. It was mounted on very old green velvet with silk string. My mother was gifted this years ago from the family of an elderly lady she was caring for, they offered her 1 item and she chose the fan. This is all I know about this fan, I will let you experts take it from there. I have included several pictures of the original Victorian looking green velvet the fan was mounted to. Please see all photo's for best description. I am shipping this in a heavy wood necklace box to protect the fan during shipment, this is WHY the 1.5 lb shipping.
