his listing is for an Otto Link "Super" Tone Master mouthpiece for baritone saxophone. It does have quotation marks around the word super, and the facing number is stamped on the bottom of the shank. These attributes identify it as an early 1980's STM.
This mouthpiece has been worked on by Brian Powell. Brian is one of the best mouthpiece refacers in the business. I don't think he refaced this, so much as just perfected it though. The reason I say that is because the original tip opening (7*) is equal to the measurement of .115", which Brian etched on the side with his initials. Otto Link mouthpieces are notorious for being hit or miss straight from the factory. The design is solid though, so they can often benefit greatly from the extra attention to detail that a true craftsman such as Brian will give to it.
This mouthpiece is in excellent used condition. The facing (tip, table, and rails) is perfectly smooth. The bite plate is free of indentations. The gold plate finish shows virtually no wear. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized.
Also included is the original ligature for this mouthpiece. It is in excellent condition. It has not been bent out of shape, or otherwise damaged. The screw is functioning properly. The cap also looks like an Otto Link cap, but I'm not sure if it is the correct one for this mouthpiece. It seems a little small, but then again it seems too big for tenor, so I don't know. Anyway, it is included, and is in very good condition.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Thanks again for looking!
Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
