REALISTIC TR-882 8 TRACK TAPE PLAYER RECORDER (Works Somewhat, Needs Servicing)

Description

This auction is for a REALISTIC TR-882 8 TRACK TAPE PLAYER & RECORDER.
It has been tested and has some issues. It will need a servicing to get it back working 100%.
I was told by the original owner that it won’t cycle through the tracks..just plays the one. The lights change 1 to 4 and it makes the clicking noise, but I guess it just plays the one track. I tested it with a cassette tape adaptor (not included) so I honestly can’t confirm this.
The pause button doesn’t pause. It has resistance and clicks, but keeps playing as normal.
It seems to output a low sound level. Plenty loud to listen to, but I’m sure it should be louder. The meters hardly came off zero..maybe maxed out around 25%. This could possibly because of the tape adaptor, but not sure.
It played a little slow at first, but I pulled out on the adaptor and it sped up to normal.
And I did notice what looks to be a rubber band as the drive belt.
I did not test the record feature.
Cosmetically, it’s in EXCELLENT condition. Shows very light use. Some scratches/wear along the front side edges. There’s a scratch on the left side of the chrome bezel, and some VERY LIGHT dings on the face that are only noticeable at an angle. Wood cabinet is near perfect..the right rear bottom corner is dented.
The original box is ROUGH. Lots of tears. Has 3 of the 4 foam corner pieces. The original bag is there too.
