*Today I am going to be listing many soprano sax mouthpieces (plus a few alto, tenor, and clarinet) that have been worked on by Brian Powell. Brian is one of the best mouthpiece refacers in the business, and his services are in high demand. You can be sure that these mouthpiece have been adjusted to optimal performance. These are far superior to the average 'off the shelf' pro level mouthpiece.
This listing is for a Selmer (Paris) S80 "F" soprano saxophone mouthpiece. This is a great mouthpiece for the classical player, as well as for general use. It has flat inner walls and a square chamber. It is made of ebonite (hard rubber), not plastic. This one was not refaced so much as it was 'optimized'. The tip opening remains at the original .057", which Brian etched on the side, along with his initials. These can be hit or miss from the factory, so Brian did the necessary tweaking to make it a hit!
This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. It has just come back from being worked on by Brian, so the facing (tip, table, and rails) is flawless. There is some minor tooth wear, but not enough to warrant filling in my opinion...if you use a mouthpiece cushion over the top you are unlikely to be bothered by it. The rubber is still black and shiny, with not a scratch to be found. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
