T
his listing is for a vintage Selmer (Paris) 'Soloist style' mouthpiece for alto saxophone. This is not the current re-make, but rather a true vintage 1970's era Selmer. This is an example of the last iteration of the original Soloist lineage. It is the same as the 1960's era long shank Soloist, but they dropped that name in the 70's, hence this version is known as 'Soloist style'. It has the scroll design around the shank, and the classic horseshoe shaped chamber. These were included with the late Mark VI, and Mark VII model horns.
This one comes in the
C* facing, which has always been the most popular.
This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There are some minor ligature scratches/scuffs on the exterior, and the rubber shows some discoloration/fading, but overall it looks quite good.
I
t has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Thanks again for looking!
