This listing is for a vintage "The Woodwind Co." mouthpiece for Bb tenor saxophone. It is  stamped 'Steel Ebonite', which was their term for hard rubber. This is a "NEW YORK" era piece, with the facing number marked on the table. This indicates the most desirable period for this manufacturer.
Woodwind Co. mouthpieces came in MANY variations. This one has a large round chamber with deeply scooped inner side walls. It is marked B5*. The tip opening measures .065".
    This mouthpiece is in excellent
condition. In fact, it is probably the nicest I've ever seen. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth gouges on the beak, nor even any scratches for that matter. The rubber is still black and shiny. There isn't even any ligature scratching on it really. You won't find a nicer one! It has been cleaned/sanitized.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
