This outstanding specimen of the famous TD .020 comes straight out of my personal showcase/engine collection…it was bought brand new and technically still is as it has never being used in any way.
As some decades have passed by the original plastic transparent box and instructions got misplaced so not available, to compensate I include the following additional items…all are brand new/original Cox items:
- Spare tank gasket
- Two precise fitting/self-taping mounting screws
- Length of special fuel tubing that is a secure/tight fit to the tank and carb nipple…in contrary to the original hard tube supplied by Cox this is highly flexible and despite the tight fit is easy to insert/remove.
- Short tank mount
- Two Cox .020 wrenches
- Cox sticker
- Cox grey 4.5x2 prop
- Allen head prop screw with key
Have taken twelve detailed photos so you should be able to judge the top condition of this engine, I can gladly provide more photos if you require…just send a message.
I do not claim this is a totally flawless engine (a rarity for even straight out of production engines) but is close to being that… on the other hand despite it was never being actually used in any way it is not strictly a closed/sealed in the box/never touched item.
However in some ways I consider my carefully preserved/personal collection engines probably better than some” stored/forgotten in the box new engines” as I periodically clean my engines out of old preservation oils that over time will solidify/gum up and seize up the moving parts making rotation difficult… result of this careful preservation is that all my engines turn over very smoothly just as the day of production.
Engine is complete apart from the starting spring... when this spring engages to the prop and the engine just static turned over it has the big disadvantage of rubbing on and making score marks/discolorations to the gold anodized front prop driver… as I had not intension of ever fire up the particular engine or use it on a model I removed it completely… it also deprives from the overall beautiful looks as it hides certain details from the front parts.
Will ship this valuable engine package in a sturdy double flute box… the engine and various items accompanying it will be individually wrapped first in plastic foil and then with many layers of bubble wrap to immobile and protect inside the box…  an external layer of heavy gauge brown warping paper completes the packaging procedure.
I have already/extensively used this method to ship my engines as it really ensures safe international travel to your destination… will also send you numerous photos of the packaging procedure stages so you have a clear idea on how to properly unpack.

Upon delivery of your package please check thoroughly its condition before accepting it, if you detect serious external damage take some clear photos of it and declare this damage to the delivery officer simultaneously postponing its acceptance for a few days.
Immediately contact me describing the damage in detail and provide me with your photos, I will evaluate the extent of the damage and advise you on how to proceed.
Since I have personally prepared the package I can judge of its integrity and so if I advise you to finally accept it I take full responsibility of the integrity of its contents and value.
Rest assured that superficial dents and scratches even of 3/8 of an inch depth cannot do damage to my multilayered packaging procedure and you can right away accept your package if the damage is limited to only that extent.
If I judge by your description and photos that the damage is very serious I will advise that you officially declare the parcel “unaccepted due to shipping damage” additionally please get a “denied acceptance document “ from your local shipping agent.
The package will be returned to me and I will immediately refund the total amount to you after I have received it back in its original package.
