This listing is for a vintage Frank Holton & Co. (Elkhorn, WIS.) large chamber alto saxophone mouthpiece. This mouthpiece was most likely manufactured in the 1920's or 30's. The design is typical of the pre-WWII era. It has a very large round chamber, and deeply scooped inner side walls. It is made of hard rubber, not plastic. It is stamped "13 45" on the table. I'm not entirely sure what that refers to. The tip opening of this piece is relatively close, measuring in at .055", so you would need to use a fairly stiff reed on it. Alternatively, this would probably be a great one to send to your favorite re-facer for customization.
This piece is in very good condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth. It looks like it might have had its table flattened, although I'm not certain either way if the swipe marks I see are from original hand facing, or post production work. Please check out the pictures and make your own determination. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!

    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
