In excellent restored and perfected condition,  A VINTAGE STEVE BROADUS VINTAGE #6 (.076) Eb ALTO SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE. AN EXCELLENT HARD RUBBER LINK STYLE SHORT SHANK GREAT SOUNDING AND PLAYING MOUTHPIECE. This mouthpiece has been a specialty item of mine for a number of years with many very satisfied buyers.
The STEVE BROADUS TRADEMARK is on top with PERFECTED MODEL above. It has a file grip shank between 2 rings with S3 to the right of the table. A thin shell, resonant body style. Medium chamber with scooped sidewalls. A half clamshell baffle.   An excellent quality and collectible ALTO sax mouthpiece as well as an excellent player.
Steve Broadus was one of the members of the Martin Committee that collaborated on saxophone design. His mouthpieces were standard issue with THE MARTIN saxophones.
It plays with a very clear, vibrant and full lively tone that emits easily and evenly through the registers of the saxophone with a compatible reed choice. The table of the mouthpiece has been leveled and the rails have been slightly balanced for better reed friendly response. The tip has been professionally opened to .076' or Meyer 6 specifications.
Play tested on VanDoren JAVA 3 and Rigotti Gold 3 light reeds. IT TAKES A STANDARD ALTO SAXOPHONE LIGATURE (not included).
