This listing is for a vintage Penzel Mueller (New York) tenor saxophone mouthpiece. This piece is neither rubber, nor plastic, but rather a resin material. It has straight side walls and an arch top chamber, similar to a Brilhart. The tip opening is .065", which is a pretty close facing. It has a lot of meat at the tip though, so it could definitely be opened up a good bit if you wanted to. Otherwise, it would make a nice classical piece as is, if paired with a stiffer reed.
This piece
is in excellent condition. The facing is perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There is barely a scratch on it. It has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use. It comes in its original plastic box.
