    his listing is for a vintage (Santy) Runyon mouthpiece for Bb soprano clarinet. It is a rare "Swing Bore" model. I'd guess that this piece dates to the 1950's. It has the serial number 5156 on one side, and facing number 4 on the other. The actual tip opening is .051", which is pretty wide for clarinet. Obviously this was intended as a 'jazz' mouthpiece. It has a very narrow rectangular chamber, presumably to give it a brighter, more focused tone.
    This mouthpiece
    is in excellent used condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. The cork is in good condition, but it may need to be adjusted or replaced for proper fit on your particular instrument. This piece
    been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use.
