*Today I'll be listing a large lot of mouthpieces for all saxophones (sop., alto, tenor, and bari) and clarinet. These mouthpieces are being sold on behalf of a highly accomplished professional player who has all of his mouthpieces gone over by Brian Powell. Brian is one half of the duo known as "The Mouthpiece Guys". He is one of the most highly respected, and in demand re-facers in the business. The mouthpieces from this group have generally not been 'opened up', but rather 'touched up'/'perfected'. That is to say that they are at the same general specifications as they were originally made, however they have had minute adjustments performed to optimize their performance, as can only be accomplished by the hand facing of a skilled artisan. These pieces are all initialled "BP" by Brian, and have their tip openings indicated as well.

his listing is for a vintage Selmer "Soloist Style" baritone saxophone mouthpiece.
This is not the current re-make, but rather, a true vintage 1970's era scroll shank mouthpiece. This was the last iteration of the Soloist line.
It is essentially the same as the 1960's era long shank "Soloist", however they dropped that name in the 1970's, hence these are referred to as "Soloist-style".
This piece has been touched up/perfected by Brian Powell, as mentioned above. It looks like he opened this one up just slightly. It was originally a C**, but it is currently at .085", which is halfway between a Selmer "D" and "E".  Brian inscribed it with his initials, and the tip opening. It is in excellent condition. The tip and rails are perfectly smooth. There is just a tiny bit of scuffing on the back edge of the table. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. The rubber is bright and shiny, with not a scratch on it. It has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!

    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
