his listing is for a vintage Vandoren T100 mouthpiece for Bb tenor saxophone. I think this piece was made in the 1970's. It is a very slim piece, so it requires an alto sized ligature rather than a standard tenor ligature. It has straight side walls. The chamber is medium/small in size with an arched top and bottom, and vertical sides. This piece is made of hard rubber.
According to some old advertising I found, the T100 would have originally had a tip opening of .071". This one has obviously been refaced though. It now measures .085" (equal to an Otto Link 5*). To be honest, when I saw this mouthpiece I did not think it would play well, due to the fact that the rails were left quite wide. I was pleasantly surprised though, as it does play quite well as is. That is not to say that it couldn't be improved upon though. You might want to send it to a trusted refacer for evaluation, and adjustment as necessary, but it does play well in its current state.
This mouthpiece is in very good condition. The facing is perfectly smooth. There are no indentations on the beak. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
