his listing is for a vintage Yanakan alto saxophone mouthpiece. This is the type of mouthpiece that was supplied with early Yanagisawa saxophones. I would guess that this mouthpiece is from the 1960's or 70's.
This mouthpiece is interesting in that it seems to be modeled after the Selmer Soloist line. It has the same 'horseshoe' shaped chamber with flat inner side walls as the classic scroll shank Selmer pieces. The tip opening is .070". For reference, that is just a hair smaller than a Selmer C**.
This mouthpiece
is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and there are no tooth marks on the beak. It has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to play.
